Real Time Race Results for Administrators and Participants

The titles says it all.

Administrators can see the newest result data from the smartphone devices and the oldest and duplicates being reported in.  See the "Newest" "Oldest" and "Bib" links.

Participants can see the results in Overall by Gender, Age Groups by Gender.

All in real time.

Call out the runners name at the finish!!! - Added the ability to integrate Bib Numbers and Names and locations

With the new seamless ability to integrate your bib number / participant information into your smartphone you can "Call out the runner's name/location/etc at the finish!!!

You go to your android phone's contact list and add an account. Here we use bib@brooklynmarathon.com. The password will be given to you by the timing.brooklynmarathon.com administration person.

Then your participants will sync with your phone. After the event the contacts can be removed to prepare for the next event. The beauty is you have all the power of the android contact manager for your use. Let's say one of the participants needs to be called you press the bib number and the phone icon and voila you are calling the person. In this example, we've loaded 1000's of participants and the sync'ing and performance is amazing. But this is normal for the android operating system.


This is what happens when you click on a contact, you'll see the participant's location, phone number, etc.

Timing For Android Help

Enter a bib number in the "Data Entry" field and then press the "time|id" in the list to assign the "Data Entry" bib number that you entered to the "time|id".

Use Long Press on a time to start the barcode scanner

Check the "Sync" box to enable new data to sync to the server

You can press "Click" or use the Volume up key to mark that a participant has crossed the line.

If your event is too large to handle by hand scoring and too small to invest a RFID equipment that runs upwards of $5000 plus $3000 for the silly unreusable rfid tag.  (Always wondered why I can't use a standard RFID tag, oh, I forgot the seller makes his profit on the fact that you're locked in to his monopoly after you purchase)
